Celia Birtwell To Collaborate With Uniqlo

Posted on 22:35 by Unknown

Celia Birtwell Uniqlo

Oh clever old Uniqlo! Fresh from teaming up with Orla Kiely, the high street giants have paired with another Brit legend – Celia Birtwell. The 1960’s designer is working on a collection that’ll hit stores on 21 March 2013 and includes T-shirts, dresses and bags in Birtwell’s distinctive print.

Together with her late husband Ossie Clark, Birtwell was basically the woman who made London Swing in the 1960’s – and beyond. They dressed fashion icons like Marianne Faithful and Bianca Jagger and attracted models like Patti Boyd to walk in their fashion shows. Their designs were so iconic that today their vintage pieces are so sought-after that Kate Moss is known to hire a helicopter to visit their C20 warehouse in Devon.

When Birtwell teamed up with Topshop almost six years ago it was the high street giant’s most successful designer collaboration – beating even that of her supermodel fan Moss.

So we expect great things for this Uniqlo line. Birtwell has said she signed up for the collaboration because of the store’s ‘terribly clever, very basic designs and great colors. You can’t misunderstand their clothing, and the atmosphere in Uniqlo shops is very peaceful.’ Well, it won’t be for long. With the pieces starting at £9.90 and a dress costing just £29.90, we’re sold!

A Givenchy Jacket And Topshop Bomber Are Parka-Perfect In Today's Style Hunter

Posted on 19:35 by Unknown

A short sleeved Givenchy parka gives Caroline’s sleek and simple silhouette a sports lux shake-up, layered over leather panelled trousers and a simple Topshop bomber jacket. Her Laurence Dacade cuff boots add a hi-shine copper touch, while a micro bag from Maia-N add a second animal print into the mix. Multiple prints and textures work well here because this clever lady had kept the palette neutral in cream, white, black and metallic.

Do you love her look? Let us know your chic critique below...

'90s Cult Label X-Girl Swaps Chlo Sevigny For Tavi Gevinson In Re-Launch

Posted on 16:35 by Unknown

Ever heard of X-Girl? Brit girls may be shaking their heads, but for cool American chicks in the early 1990s, X-Girl was the seminal sartorial happening. It may sound like a naughty movie, but actually, X-Girl (which was first produced as an off-shoot from menswear label X-Large created by Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and stylist Daisy von Furth) was a cult clothing line. Despite the label’s short lived existence – it was born in 1993 and sold to a Japanese company in 1998 - many believe that the legacy of their popular preppy, skate and indie looks lives on in the wardrobes of today.

Chloë Sevigny modelling in the old X-Girl campaigns

Like so many ‘90s comebacks – rucksacks, Levi’s 901s, scrunchies, retro sportswear, crop tops, you get the idea - hipsters are keen to hunt down original X-Girl pieces in thrift stores and eBay. But their search just became easier, because X-Girl has re-launched this week with the help of this decade’s most prolific - and nostalgia-loving - fashion teen, Tavi Gevinson. The new X-girl range for 2013 of slogan tees is available on the online store of New York social media platform, VFiles.

Chloë Sevigny was their original poster girl – a fresh-faced Downtown club-kid with cooler-than-cool way of putting clothes together. The Sevster hasn’t changed much and Tavi shares a similar fringe, but can a modern glossy version of X-Girl ever be as successful amongst stylish subcultures as the gritty thrown-together vibe of the original? Fashionista.com isn’t too happy about the pricing either – stating that the new line is almost double.

Dakota Fanning Talks About Her Younger Sister Elle's Daring Style In New Interview

Posted on 13:35 by Unknown

Elle Fanning is the ultimate avante-garde dresser, wearing everything from hot pink eye shadow to Prada Judo flatforms on the red carpet and she can even make a school uniform seem oh-so cool. Alexa Chung is a fan of her style, she inspired Rodarte and she was the face of Marc Jacobs A/W 2011 campaign. But remember Elle is only 14 making her the most intimidatingly hip chadult of all time?

Well it seems her older sis Dakota also thinks she's achingly cool, as she has spoken out about Elle's style in a cover interview with US Glamour. ‘She’s very uninhibited and will try pretty much anything. Even the way she dresses— she dresses totally for herself,’ Dakota said. ‘She risks being made fun of… by me, which I sometimes do, because I’m an older sister! But I totally admire her and think she’s very cool.’ We do too.

Another topic of conversation in the interview was that banned Marc by Marc ad campaign. In case you’ve forgotten, when Dakota was just 17 she starred in a campaign shot by Juergen Teller where she held a big purple perfume bottle by her crotch. The UK Advertising Standards Authority thought that Dakota looked under 16 and was in a provocative pose, so it was seen as sexualising a child.

Dakota has spoke out about the controversy for the very first time and said: ‘If you want to read something into a perfume bottle, then I guess you can. But it’s also like, ‘Why are you making it about that, you creep?’ I love Marc and trust him, and we just laughed about it.'

Now back to fashion’s child prodigy, Mis Elle. If you still need proof that she is the bravest gal on the red carpet take a look at her style evolution in the gallery below...

Kate Middleton's Favourite Label Issa Create A Maternity Version Of THAT Dress

Posted on 04:35 by Unknown

Kate Middleton gets engaged to Prince WilliamBlossom Issa Maternity dress

Kate Middleton showed us all the wonderful way of the ruch every time she stepped out in her various colours of her favourite Issa jersey dress – not least on the day she announced her betrothal to her handsome prince.

The dress in question; the ruched silk jersey dress, to be precise, became an enormous sell-out sensation, and the brand have continued to produce the frock in many new dazzling colours and permutations – long skirts and on the knee, capped sleeves and long – the possibilities, it seemed, were endless. (Not to mention the many cut-price copies from the High Street for those who wanted a bit of a variation on the £500 price tag).

But now they have come up with a whole new angle on the flattering ladylike confection – a bump allowance! Yes, the canny London brand, which is designed by Brazillian-born genius, Daniella Helayel have created a version suitable for ladies in a certain condition, so that pregnancy is no barrier to extreme poise and ruched glamour.

Royal-watching expectant mothers are advised to make a beeline for the maternity website Blossom Mother & Child, which is now selling the maternity version of the Duchess of Cambridge's outfit for £522.

If the above description sounds like you, then we would also say – hurry up - if you want to secure yourself one of the specially tailored silk dresses with larger cut which allows for a growing bump – as another characteristic of the frock is tendency to sell out – fast!

Classic Mummy Or Bling Momma - Which Fashion Mother Are These Pregnant Stars?

Posted on 00:35 by Unknown

With Kim Kardashian, Kate Middleton and Lara Stone all expecting this year, 2013 is set to be a celebrity pregnancy bonanza. The year of the ‘celebaby’, if you like. Girl, boy – who knows? But what we do know is that these three mums come from three very different fashion tribes. Question is, which one would you be?

1. Classic Mummy

Pregnancy Style: Which Fashion Mum Is Kate Middleton, Lara Stone, Miranda Kerr, Kim Kardashian?

Sarah Burton wearing twins well, Kate Middleton shows us the stylish way to be a lady in waiting while Carla Bruni keeps her cool and her poise

WHO? Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.

POSTER GIRLS: Carla Bruni, Grace Kelly.

PREGNANCY STYLE: A seamless transitionencompassing trad look – wrap dresses and empire-line gowns. Think Jenny Packham for public, maternity queen Tiffany Rose for private and Boden for serious off-duty.

FASHION BONUS: Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton is due next month. Who better to understand royal maternity wear?

BEAUTY TREATMENTS: Kate favours traditional treatments – she is famously a fan of Nivea’s £5 face cream. Nivea Q10 Plus Firming Body Oil could work wonders for stretch marks.

PREGNANCY CRAVINGS: This is no time to diet. K-Mid has taken to eating Fortnum & Mason lavender shortbread to help with the nausea.

PREGNANCY WORKOUT: The Duchess is already a fan of London’s The Hale Clinic, so doubtless she’ll attend their pre-natal yoga classes.

MOST LIKELY TO: Only wear Isabella Oliver dresses to all public events, as it’s so uncouth to look like you’re overthinking maternity wear.

LEAST LIKELY TO: Receive a ‘Push’ ring (the blingtastic thank you present rich husbands buy their wives for delivering their baby).

GET THE LOOK: Cashmere cardigan, £625, Alexander McQueen at brownsfashion.com; Dress, £520, Issa at mywardrobe.com

2. Supermodel Mum-To-Be

Pregnancy Style: Which Fashion Mum Is Kate Middleton, Lara Stone, Miranda Kerr, Kim Kardashian?

Lara looks effortlessly cool; Miranda Kerr steps out in style

WHO? Lara Stone.

POSTER GIRLS: Model mums Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr.

PREGNANCY STYLE: The leggy Dutch model already favours skinny jeans/tee/biker jacket. Think T by Alexander Wang – size L can still fi t the supermodel bod at nine months.

FASHION BONUS: Calvin Klein just brought out Push Positive soft wired bras – modelled by Lara. Presumably she gets a discount?

BEAUTY TREATMENTS: Lara will probably go for London brand Mama Mio. Victoria Beckham and Stella McCartney swear by its Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Oil, £23.

PREGNANCY CRAVINGS: Lara’s a comfort food fan – ‘I like shepherd’s pie or bangers and mash,’ which is good, as carb-rich foods are supposed to surpress morning sickness.

PREGNANCY WORKOUT: She loves yoga and swimming, both perfect for pregnancy.

MOST LIKELY TO: Appear in Calvin Klein ads with bump.

LEAST LIKELY TO: Pull a Charlotte Gainsbourg, appearing on the red carpet in a completely sheer black chiffon wrap dress and lace bra when heavily pregnant.

GET THE LOOK: Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Oil, £23, Mama Mio (mamamio.com); Bangers and mash are on the menu for Lara; Dunk Sky Hi trainers, from £85, Nike (nike.com)

3. Bling Momma

Pregnancy Style: Which Fashion Mum Is Kate Middleton, Lara Stone, Miranda Kerr, Kim Kardashian?

Beyoncé glams up her bump; Kim keeps her signature body-con look; Designer Frida Giannini does comfy chic

WHO? Kim Kardashian.

POSTER GIRLS: Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez.

PREGNANCY STYLE: The diva swag is unlikely to diminish – she’s still in six-inch heels and leather. Think custom Julien Macdonald for sheer, custom Tom Ford for skin-tight and Juicy Couture Maternity for that airport-lounge velour tracksuit.

FASHION BONUS: Balmain’s spring/summer ’13 vertical stripes will be great for streamlining Kim’s blooming figure.

BEAUTY TREATMENTS: Kim’s already endorsing Bio-Oil: ‘It prevents wrinkles around my eyes and stretchmarks over my body,’ she tweeted, long before she was pregnant. It’s almost like she knew…

PREGNANCY CRAVINGS: Again to Twitter for this: ‘Apple Pie Caramel Apple from the Rockie Mountain Chocolate Factory. Oldie but gooooooodie!!!!’

PREGNANCY WORKOUT: The reality star has employed workout queen Tracy Anderson, whose latest venture is the Pregnancy Project workout – a low-impact, mid-energy workout. Great! Still, rather her…

MOST LIKELY TO: Tweet throughout labour.

LEAST LIKELY TO: Keep the baby a secret after it’s born, à la Megan Fox.

GET THE LOOK: Bio-Oil, from £13.49, www.boots.com

So which pregnancy tribe are you in?

Amber Le Bon Is The New Karen Millen Woman For Spring 2013: VIDEO

Posted on 19:35 by Unknown

Karen Millen have just unveiled their SS13 campaign and doing a fab job of modelling their new collection is Amber Le Bon. Her super slick hairdo is certainly a different look to the coloured and dip-dyed tresses she's been sporting recently but she looks incredible and has certainly got us coveting their new clothes for Spring.

The daughter of Yasmin and Simon Le Bon (of Duran Duran), Amber is no stranger to the world of modelling following in her mum's footsteps but that doesn't mean she was a shoe-in for the job at Karen Millen. 'We look for someone confident with a strong personality to be the face of our seasonal campaign,' said Gemma Metheringham, Managing and Creative Director of Karen Millen. 'We chose Amber as not only is she very beautiful, she is also highly creative and dedicates some of her time to high profile charity work.  This interesting blend embodies the modern confident spirit of the Karen Millen woman.'

They're not wrong. When we spoke exclusively to Amber, she told us that she loves to play the piano in her spare time to help her relax. 'I find it very therapeutic. I like to play Chopin - especially if I'm feeling angry.' So does she inherit her musical capabilities from her dad? 'Sometimes I'll join in with [him] but he's a better musician than he is a teacher - I can't keep up!'

As well as a love of music, Amber enjoys reading, in particular books set in a fantasy world. She describes herself as a fast learner although regrets not doing better at school despite achieving high grades. 'I had the opportunity to take Latin at A-level but I didn't and now wish that I had.'

While the 23 year old may be afraid of spiders, 'if I find one, I have to keep looking at it so I see exactly where it goes', she's also worried about falling over on the job. 'I have a hurdling injury and a bad knee. I'm like an old lady! It felt really weak the day of the Karen Millen shoot. Luckily it didn't give way, but I worry about it buckling on the catwalk.'

To read more about Amber, make sure you pick up this week's issue of Grazia and check out Amber in action below...

After being absent for two seasons, we can't wait to see the Brit designer's glamorous creations back where they belong. He's due to show his full ready-to-wear Autumn Winter 2013 collection on Saturday 16th February at Goldsmith’s Hall. We say, welcome back, Jules!

Julien Macdonald's Catwalk Return! Designer Will Show Autumn Winter 2013 Collection At London Fashion Week

Julien Macdonald Autumn Winter 2012 show

Mr Macdonald has previously taken two seasons to set up his private client made-to-measure service, Julien Macdonald Bespoke, and his new atelier in Notting Hill. The eponymous label, which launched in 1997, has held a regular slot on the LFW schedule since it staged its first runway show for Spring Summer in 1998.

'I am thrilled to be returning to the London Fashion Week schedule for AW13,' says the lovely Julien. 'For the last 2 seasons I have been concentrating on launching my bespoke private client service in my London-based atelier which I have really enjoyed, but I also love the build-up of preparing a collection for a show and I'm very excited about showing my AW13 collection to the industry and press as part of London Fashion Week in February.'

Does this mean the designer's celebrity following - we're talking everyone from Rita Ora to Florence Welch and Kylie Minogue - will grace Julien's FROW? The countdown is on!

First Look At Pamela Love's Jewellery Collection for Zadig & Voltaire: EXCLUSIVE

Posted on 22:35 by Unknown

We need to confess to having a pretty serious girl-crush on Zadig & Voltaire’s new jewellery collaboration designer, Pamela Love. Love is a big deal in the world of jewels, having gained a legion of fans since she launched her line of rock ’n’ roll bling back in 2006 from her Brooklyn home. Since, her pieces have been spotted on more A-listers than we can count – including K-Stew, Gwen Stefani and Alexa Chung.

When we meet with Love and her adorable husband, illustrator and musician Matthew Jameson Nelson Love, at Le Meurice in Paris, she is sporting armfuls of her signature jewellery. Her pieces, she explains were inspired by, “Victorian jewellery, snakes, thorns and flowers, tribal, magical and mythological imagery. Every season the inspiration is new, it could be architecture or fairy-tale.”

Bohemian, but earthy, edgy but authentic, Love’s jewellery caught the eye of Zadig & Voltaire’s ultra-chic Creative Director Cecilia Bonstrom, so she decided to enlist the New Yorker to create a capsule collection of tough but still feminine jewellery.

“The best thing about the Zadig collaboration is that although the price point is accessible, the quality has been kept really high,” says Love. The collection seems to be a cut above indeed – directional two finger snake rings (from £170), tooth-studs (from £210) and bird skull pendants (from £180) in three metal colours which all feel properly heavy - click through the gallery above to see the full line.

So what is it that appeals so much about the Love aesthetic? “ I think my pieces are all bound together by a feeling of authenticity; I hope that people know they are buying well-made and personally cared for jewellery. Every single piece of jewellery passes through my hands and I will have worked on a large percentage of the pieces. I guess people are buying into the story of our atelier as well as the edgy aesthetic.” While we completley adore the idea of Pam's atelier, we will be mostly buying into the collection so we can get a little bit closer to looking like Madame Love...!

So what are the Queen of Cool Jewels' top jewellery tips?

1. Layer Your Jewellery

It’s always chic to layer your jewellery – don’t be afraid to wear several rings, bracelets and necklaces. But can wear too much – Id say when you reach 12 pieces its time to stop.

2. Mix your metals

Its far cooler to have several metal tones – I like dark gunmetal silver and antique gold which had a rose tone to it – very shiny metals can look too brassy.

3. Take Care of Your Bling

In saying that make sure you clean your jewels regularly. While there is something to be said for letting your jewellery age, you can lose definition. I use brass and silver polish – it’s very therapeutic!

4. Mix ‘n Match Jewels & Tats

I buy my jewellery to fit in around my tattoos – there are some rings that fit a certain finger so I would never get that area tattooed. Tattoos mixed in with proper lifetime jewellery can look really cool.

5. Pare It Back For Evening

When it comes to evening wear I think it’s important to keep it simpler with strong statement pieces which complement the dress.

Posted on 19:35 by Unknown

What better way for a brand to road test new season pieces than to let the UK's hottest fashion bloggers loose in a studio with them? That's exactly what Next did as part of their 'Ones to Watch' shoot where they gave the likes of Coco’s Tea Party, LLYMLRS and What I Heart Today the opportunity to style looks from their Spring Summer 2013 collection. We love looking to the blogosphere for outfit inspiration so jumped at the chance to see an exclusive behind the scenes video and photos from the day when eight key fashion bloggers took the styling reigns and revealed their favourite pieces from Next's latest offerings – and how they’d wear them.

As well as getting a glimpse inside the shoot we also got some insight into what makes the Next 'Ones to Watch' bloggers tick with a quick fire Q&A:

Girls Series 2: We Speak To The Costume Designer For Lena Dunhams HBO Comedy

Posted on 16:35 by Unknown

Girls Series 2 Fashion: Interview With Jenn Rogien Costume Designer Of Lena Dunham HBO Comedy Girls

You might have heard of a TV series called Girls. After all, there has been some limited fanfare, a smattering of press coverage and the odd essay on well-regarded websites touting its star, Lena Dunham, as the poster girl for 20-somethings in the noughties. Yes, Girls. One of the best thing about Girls, to us anyway, is the costumes. Mainly because they aptly sum up the sort of careless decisions and fashion disasters we all make in our twenties. And, if you saw last night’s string vest - YOWZERS - you’ll know what we mean. ‘We were very aware of Sex And The City and that our audience might be similar’, explains its costume designer, Jenn Rogien. ‘But style-wise, it’s deliberately different. Girls is about realism’. Hmm…so just how much thought goes into each of the Girls’ girls’ wardrobes? Read on for our exclusive interview with Rogien who breaks down the style of each character...

1. Hannah

Best known for: hipster plaids and too-short shorts. The wrong side of thrift.

Jenn says: ‘My concern was that she’d look ridiculous but she looks lovingly dishevelled - a direct reflection of her character.’

Most likely to shop at craft website ETSY’s DIY fashion sites H&M, Atlantis Attic (New York thrift store), Beacon’s Closet (as before).

Did you know Lena is fitted for the clothes wearing Spanx but wears the clothes on screen without, so they’re purposefully too tight.

N.B. Hannah almost always wears Bass Hearts loafers, designed by Rachel Antonoff, sister of Lena’s real-life boyfriend, Jack Antonoff, aka the guitarist for the indie-pop group Fun.

2. Jessa

Best known for: low-key bohochic – think kimonos and kaftans - with a vast collection of vintage (not thrift) and an excellent line in heels

Jenn says: ‘she’s still in possession of a trust fund, so looks well-travelled and bohemian – but the characters are still on minimum wage so…’

Most likely to shop at: Geminola (New York), Stella Dallas (New York vintage store) and ‘maybe a little Topshop’.

Did you know: Geminola is run by Jemima Kirke’s mother who provided some of series 2’s costumes.

N.B Series 2 saw a phasing out of palazzo pants and platforms because Jemima Kirke was pregnant with her second child in real life. She also spent a lot of time ‘wearing tents’ and ‘hiding behind sofas’.

3. Shoshanna

Best known for preppy shifts for work, juicy couture velour for sleepovers, peace sign snuggies for bed. Never thrift. Also - a fascinator, where possible.

Jenn says ‘Shoshanna’s is probably the most concerned with fashion of the four. Let’s just say, her character probably reads US Vogue.’

Most likely to shop at Zara, Juicy Couture, H&M and Bloomingdales

Did you know: Jenn used her wardrobe to reflect the losing of her virginity: ‘we wanted to grow her up a little bit to reflect where she is in this series, so we tweaked her colour palette’. No more pastels? Hurrah.

N.B.  Jenn looked to Nylon-magazine-style shoots while styling Shoshanna. This would suggest there’s method in the preppiness.

4. Marnie

Best known for: overdressing, in general, by wearing Ann Taylor to loft parties. ‘Control freakery’ write large.

Jenn says: ‘It’s very much not runway driven with Marnie - we mixed high street with a few designers. However Marnie is making the biggest transition this series, moving away from Banana Republic matchy matchy to tees and Paige jeans – you can tell by the amount she wears her hair down.’

Most likely to shop at: J Crew, Saks, Paige Jeans, Ann Taylor

Did you know Vanity Fair calls her the show’s ‘most polarising character’, The Atlantic says ‘there’s ‘nothing that signals to the audience that she's "just like us."’

N.B. Marnie’s wardrobe is perhaps the most thought through. ‘There are a couple of signature outfits in this series that are very specific and very un-Marnie.’ R.I.P. Ann Taylor

Cara Delevingne Opens Up About Harry Styles And Her Sex Appeal In LOVE Magazine

Posted on 13:35 by Unknown

'That don't impress me MUCH!' Grazia Daily has spent the entire day singing the Shania Twain classic thanks to Cara Delevingne's recent rendition. We just can't get enough of watching the oh-so-hot Cara masked up and miming in a cheeky video that was taken during her shoot for LOVE Magazine. If you've picked up the new issue of Grazia (out today), you'll know the accompanying interview has the blonde Brit opening up about everything from Justin Bieber and Harry Styles to almost becoming a Made In Chelsea-er. It's a real corker! We wouldn't expect anything less. Read on for our highlights...

Cara Delevingne LOVE Magazine

Photography: Sølve Sundsbø, Styling: Katie Grand

On being asked to be in Made in Chelsea

‘I was asked to do Made in Chelsea and it’s something I want to be as far away as possible from. I know one of the boys who used to be in it, Hugo. He went to Harrow with my sister and that’s the only contact. I see them now running around at parties but my whole opinion of that is, uh…’

On the power of her looks

‘I don’t get it, I still don’t. I don’t know. Fuck. I’ve no idea. I’ve always been a goofball.’

On front-of-camera sex appeal

‘You have to look at that camera like you want to fuck it. Basically. I’ve only learnt by watching other girls do it, I’d have no idea otherwise.’

On what happened with Harry Styles

‘Er, nothing? Who’s Harry? Who are you talking about? Which one? The Prince? I’m joking. JOKING. Or the other one? That was just a rumour, they both were. Both Harrys, just rumours. Do rumours have to be not real? I don’t know. I know Harry [Styles], he’s a good friend of mine, you know, it was... the whole thing is that everyone’s been linked to him. Alexa [Chung], Pixie [Geldof], we’ve all been around him and then, “Aah, they’re going out.”’

On getting Twitter abuse from One Direction fans

‘Those crazy little fucking... sorry, little girls! One week I had 40,000 followers and then I had 70,000 on Twitter and suddenly it’s like Mrs Harry Styles, die, bitch, die. And it’s funny because I’ve always been quite good at taking criticism because I criticise myself a lot, generally. A shit-load. And some of them are quite funny. Like sending me pictures of tweezers and saying, “Do you know what these are?” And I’d retweet it and be like no, I’ve never seen them in my life before, what are those for? Or funny stuff like you look like a boy and I’ll be like, well, it hasn’t done me too badly has it? I’ll give it back. Some of them can be quite funny and creative about it. But the “die in a hole” ones? Like, whose nine-year-old daughter are you? That’s fucked up.’

On having a relationship

‘I want to fall in love, I think. I’ve never. I know. Everyone I know’s been in love or in relationships now and... There’s only ever been... there’s been people telling me they love me but it freaks me out and I just run, run. I think I’m a bad girlfriend.’

On dating guys her age

‘The thing with young men is… and it’s not just young men, like I’ve been out with people 28, 29 and they’re such fucking assholes. It makes me think I just need to go out with someone who’s 40. To be OK. I literally feel like I’m these little boy’s mothers. I just don’t think that I trust men. That’s the problem. I can appreciated a beautiful-looking man but he’s not my type.’

David and Victoria Beckham: How Are The Couple Adapting To Life In The UK?

Posted on 07:35 by Unknown

Having to relocate your family half way across the world is no easy feat. Now, in this week’s issue of Grazia we tackle the whispers that Victoria Beckham has been struggling since she and the rest of the Beckham clan moved back to the UK from LA.

As the family adjust to their new lives, VB has been described as being ‘unhappy’ as she misses the freedom of padding around their vast LA mansion and hanging out in the sunshine. Well, who can blame her really it has been prettyyy freezing the last few weeks?

David on the other hand has been embracing being back in London and has been spotted out and about quite regularly dining with pals at the Groucho, going to the football with the boys and even taking two of the four junior Beckham’s sledging on Primrose Hill.

Those close to Vic have explained that she has been spending a lot of time indoors focusing on her preparations for New York Fashion Week and trying to help the kids to adjust to London life.
However, yesterday it seemed that Victoria’s attitude to being back in the capital had begun to thaw (excuse the pun) slightly as she was spotted out and about buying Cruz some food at a fish and chip shop. Well that’s one way to throw herself back into some British traditions, we’re guessing she didn’t indulge in a battered sausage herself though.

If you want to read more about Victoria’s UK life pick up the latest issue copy of Grazia, out now, or download our iPad app. And to celebrate the Beckhams' greatest fashion moments, treat yourself to the gallery below…

Is This The New Party Trend? Now Daisy Lowe Throws A '90s Themed Birthday Bash

Posted on 01:35 by Unknown

This morning our instagram feeds were filled with white platform boots, Aaliyah and Lil Kim lookalikes and tiny crop tops. We thought we'd woken up in the wrong decade, but no the confusion was all thanks to Ms Daisy Lowe who celebrated her birthday last night by going back to the 90s.

To celebrate turning a year older she dressed as Patricia Arquette in True Romance and put on a blonde wig, a cow print micro mini and flashed her turquoise bra, meanwhile her friends dressed as Spice Girls and 90s hip hop icons. Eliza Doolittle dressed as Aaliyah in dungarees and a teeny tiny white sports crop top, while her pal went as Lil Kim in a candy floss pink crop top, jacket and matching wig. Boo-ya!

Daisy isn't the only star to have a 90s themed partay, as this is the new bangin', totally fly theme for fancy dress parties. You might remember Katy Perry put on her skates and hosted a 90s themed roller disco for her birthday. She wore her best floral crop top and matching cycling shorts, with denim cut-offs over the top and carried a purple backpack. Like a true child of the 90s she topped off the look with lots of clips in her hair, candy coloured sunnies, a black choker necklace and a Ty Beanie Baby in her hand.

Daisy Lowe as Patricia Arquette in True Romance

It's hardly surprising that the Spice Girls are big stuff in the world of 90s themed birthday parties, as Portia Freeman went to Daisy's dressed as Baby with her hair in high pigtails, a red glittery top and an obligatory pink Chupa Chup. Rochelle Humes from the Saturdays went to a 90s themed birthday in December dressed in head to toe leopard, while bandmate Frankie dressed up as Posh Spice in a tight LBD and black bob wig. Zig a zig ahhhh.

If you're thinking of hosting a 90s bash, take a look at our top 10 icons of the 90s to get some costume inspiration. Why not put on a yellow check suit and knee highs à la Cher Horowitz, or go as Gwen Stefani from her No Doubt days in crop tops and spiked hair worn with a hella lot of attitude. You could also go like Drew Barrymore the 90s flower child and wear tie-dye, neon and daisies in your hair or pair some Doc Martens with a nightie and rock 90s grunge like Courtney Love.

So for your next birthday, put on your highest Buffalo platforms and brush up on your 90s catchphrases and throw a 90s themed party. Get inspiration from Daisy Lowe and Katy Perry's tie-dye fests in the gallery above...

Taylor Swift Wears Elie Saab At The NRJ Awards - See What You're Missing, Harry!

Posted on 22:35 by Unknown

Well, this must be awkward. When you’re one of those famous types you can’t always guarantee that you won’t run into your ex at a star-spangled event. Exactly what happened to Taylor Swift and Harry Styles this weekend when they both attended the NRJ Awards in Cannes, France this weekend.

Despite the major awks, we're proud to see Taylor continuing to flaunt her sexed-up style and showing Harry exactly what he was missing. The starlet arrived on the red carpet wearing a minxy white sequined Elie Saab dress topped off with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels. It was the perfect showcase for her enviable pins and her favourite revenge accessory: her cleavage.

According to reports the pair – formally known as Haylor – were kept well apart on the red carpet. Taylor, however, did stop to some cryptic talking suggesting maybe that previous rumours that the pair split because of Harry’s wandering eye were true, ‘Loyalty is something that’s really important in your friends, in your relationships, in your family. Infidelity is a major non-negotiable,’ she said. The couple had split after a New Year holiday to the Virgin Islands with some sources suggesting that Taylor wasn’t happy with her boyfriend flirting with other women.

Swifty then went on to perform her hit ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together,’ which was slightly less cryptic than her quotes. As she strutted around the stage - wearing yet another fox-tastic outfit consisting of a tiny black lace playsuit and thigh-high boots - Taylor apparently looked pointedly at her ex. Well you know what they say about saying it with a song…

Whilst Taylor has been pretty vocal it seems the curly-haired One Direction-er is keeping schtum about his current relationship situation. Perhaps it’s because just 48 hours before flying to France a pretty young blonde lady was spotted leaving his Primrose Hill pad. Oh, Hazza!

Instagram Pics Of The Day: From Rihanna's Top Secret Campaign To Cara Delevigne's Onesies

Posted on 19:35 by Unknown

Not only did Rihanna give us an insight into her hotly anticipated River Island collection today, but the singer also posted a nearly topless photo from a "top secret" ad campaign on Instagram. There's no confirmation about what brand the shoot is for, but RiRi is seen holding a jacket up to cover her modesty and wearing a Chanel necklace in the snap which was accompanied by the caption: "And that's a #wrap on my shoot for my new #topsecret add campaign!!! #2013." Watch this space!

It looks like Cara Delevingne might be thinking of dabbling in design too after the model tweeted a page from Grazia where we referenced the fact that she has boosted the popularity of the onesie. Cara said "I think I should have my own line of onesies!" which we wholeheartedly agree with as she is the queen of the comfortable loungewear.

Meanwhile Taylor Swift revealed that she had a lovely time in Pareee with her friend, True Grit actress Hailee Seinfeld, posting a montage of their day trip and Amanda Seyfried shared a super cute snap of herself goofing around with fellow actors Adam Brody and Peter Sarsgaard at a photocall for their new flick Lovelace at the Sundance Film Festival.
