Lily Mo Sheen, Kate Beckinsale and Tom Hooper on the Burberry Prorsum FROW
It's always pretty daunting deciding what to wear to a fashion show but when your debut is the most high profile event on the schedule, daunting doesn't even begin to cover it. So spare a thought for Kate Beckinsale who arrived at the Burberry show on Monday for her first Fashion Week appearance EVER. And how did the Hollywood actress choose what to wear for such an occasion? 'First of all, I recommend wearing something you can zip up.' Ah yes, Kate's British sense of humour is still intact despite living across the pond in LA. Hurrah for that!
Grazia Daily for one is chuffed to see Lady Beckinsale back in Blightly. What is it that she misses most about the UK when she's away? 'People having a proper sense of humour and getting my jokes and English telly, which I know we complain about all the time but you should try American telly!'. As for her favourite programmes, Kate reveals, 'I have a weakness for those really dirty documentaries when you find terribly perverted things are happening. They don't make those in America.'
And it's not just TV shows - there's certainly a difference in style when it comes to LA vs. London. 'London style is a little bit quirkier and people take more risks, which I respond to.' So considering she's a pro at dressing for the red carpet, is dressing for the FROW much different? 'I don't know because I've never done it before, but make sure you're wearing knickers'. Wise words.
