There's a lot of chatter across the pond that Jennifer Aniston is set to marry Justin Theroux in a matter of weeks. People magazine are reporting that the couple have set a date for a ‘small affair’ which will take place once filming on her latest film has wrapped on 8th March. That’s less than a month, peeps! Although there’s been no confirmation from the Jen An camp (yet), what we DO know is the rumours provide the perfect opportunity to discuss The Dress.
Our bet? The bride will wear a sleek strapless wedding dress by Valentino. It’s no secret Jennifer has a long-running habit of turning to the Italian design house for her most memorable show-stopping moments. Yes, she may mix it up now and again with a dash of Burberry or a touch of Prada but Valentino’s gorgeously feminine, typically nude and daintily embellished creations have proved to be the perfect match for Jen’s no-fuss style.
The most recent proof that this is a match made in fashion heaven came on Sunday night at the Oscar Awards. You’ll remember the actress was crowned one of the best dressers thanks to the red ballgown she picked from Valentino’s Spring 2013 Couture catwalk. The strapless bodice and full skirt was a real treat for us Jen Watchers who are used to seeing her clad in black form-fitters. Does the dress give us a clue of what’s to come on her Big Day? As well as sleek silhouettes and strapless necklines, Jen is a fan of neutral, nude colours so we’re picturing her wearing an ivory creation as she walks down the aisle. And if you remember the stunning Armani number she wore to the Oscars back in 2009, you’ll know the star loves her some subtle twinkles for a touch of pizzazz. We’ve also seen her flashing some leg as well as her killer cleavage when attending swanky events but will she dare to bare on her wedding day?
Aside from the dress, we reckon Jennifer will wear her legendary tresses down and loose in that trademark effortless blow-out. She’s not a fan of mega bling (and surely that engagement ring is glitz enough!) so we’re predicting minimal jewels like diamond earrings and a matching necklace. When the actress married Brad Pitt in 2000 on a Malibu cliff top, the one image that was released saw her looking typically relaxed in a boho stylee *sigh*
